Outdoor Dining on Cape Cod
So, you’ve decided that a vacation to Cape Cod is in order? Perfect! Hope your taste buds are ready for a great selection of restaurants, cafes and food stalls.
We are going to give you the lowdown of some of the best places to grab a meal in Cape Cod. Let’s explore some of the best waterfront spots on the peninsula!
Waterfront Dining Options in Cape Cod
The Canteen, Provincetown: No visit to Cape Cod is complete without a visit to the bustling Provincetown, not to mention The Canteen. Created by an alumni of the International Culinary Center in New York, this beachfront location sources all of its ingredients from the New England area.
Make sure to arrive with plenty of time in the summer because The Canteen doesn’t take reservations, and it can get very busy! You’ll need to queue to place your order at the front of the restaurant, before picking it up and enjoying your food at one of the lovely picnic tables or by the beach.
Mac’s on the Pier, Wellfleet: There are several Mac’s locations across Cape Cod, but the Wellfleet Pier is prime positioning for enjoying some incredible seafood from a picnic bench and watching boats come in and out of the harbor.
Pelham House Resort: You can make a reservation to eat at the rooftop restaurant in Pelham House Resort, even if you aren’t staying at the hotel. Be sure to request a hightop table which offers stunning views of the ocean to enjoy during your meal!
Flying Bridge Restaurant: Located in Falmouth, the Flying Bridge offers spectacular views of Falmouth Harbor from its multi-level deck. Keep your eyes peeled for the Island Queen ferry on its regular trips to Martha’s Vineyard! This is a great modern restaurant that serves cosmopolitan seafood dishes with the harbor as a backdrop.
Make sure you don’t leave the Flying Bridge without trying its signature mud pie at dessert!
Anejo: Not sure if seafood is your thing? Anejo offers a bustling Mexican taqueria and bistro in Hyannis. Not only that, but it is perfect for an evening meal with its outdoor seating area illuminated by lanterns underneath a 250 year old beech tree.
With another location in Falmouth, Anejo’s Margarita list and signature “Main Street” corn are sure to satisfy a hungry family after a day of fun in Cape Cod.
